  • Warm Springs Credit Enterprise and WS Housing are presenting a series of Homebuyer Classes starting tomorrow. If you plan on buying or building a home in the next couple years – you would benefit from these classes.   Sign up at Tribal Credit 541-553-3201. The class is limited to 20 participants and will be held Wednesday 6:30-8:30 at the Credit Building. 
  • The Warm Springs Diabetes program will hold Water Fitness Class at the Kah-Nee-ta Village Pool Wednesday at 10:15.
  • Warm Springs Ventures offers computer assistance Wednesdays at 2 pm at the Computer Learning Lab inside the Teepee Deli.  You can learn basic computer help such as setting up an email account, browsing the web, or learning Microsoft Office. For more details call Evan at 541-553-3565.
  • Jefferson County Youth Soccer is signing up Kindergarten thru 5th grade players – today from 6 until 8pm at the Jefferson County Library Annex in Madras. They will hold sign ups again next Monday and Tuesday.
  • The CHS Garden Center in Madras is presenting a workshop today on how to control noxious weeds in our landscape. This is a free workshop. Class is this evening at 6 at 60 NW Depot Road in Madras just off Highway 26 at the top of the hill.

  • The Jefferson County Library Community Film Center will show the movie BEING JOHN MALKOVICH – rated R, on Friday night at 7:30 at the Rodriquez Annex in Madras. The Film is Free and refreshments are available.
 
The Madras Centennial Committee is asking for anyone, that knows how to do the “Jitter Bug” dance, to contact the Chamber of Commerce.  They are planning a contest to take place during the celebration on July 3 & 4.

The 17th annual tribal member Art Exhibit opens at the Museum at Warm Springs October 21st and runs thru January 9th.   The show features traditional and contemporary art of various media by adult tribal member artists.
